Happy Friday! Tomorrow it’s Saturday. Forecast is rain just like every Saturday in recent memory.
Here’s some good news for a change.
Today, I read on Boston 25 News that Mel Brooks is working on a reboot of Spaceballs. Read more here.

Mel is 99 years old. God bless him. From Blazing Saddles to Young Frankenstein to a cameo on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mel has made me laugh.
Pick any one of his movies and I guarantee it will improve your happiness.
Spaceballs
Spaceballs came out in 1997. It was a parody of all the star wars movies, Star Trek, Aliens and anything else Mel could throw in. It includes Rick Moranis and John Candy, along with Mel.
And how can you not love a movie that includes?

Which leads Mel to ask “How many assholes are there on this ship?”

The Sequel

And here’s the video announcement.
Wrap Up
That’s it.
Yesterday was a rough day. A plane crashed in India killing over 200 people. Israel attacked nuclear and military sites in Iran. Trouble is still brewing in LA and depending on your news source, it’s either relatively peaceful, in which people are having fun watching cars burn, or it’s a mass riot.
This is all serious, sad and troubling stuff.
It may be a good time to tune out and catch up on some Mel Brooks as we await the new Spaceballs.
May the Schwartz be with you.

There’s no way Blazing Saddles would be allowed to be released these days. Or History of the World, Part 1.
It’s good to be the king, just ask the egomaniac who’s throwing his own parade.
