I’m on a news diet. I have a flipboard feed that I look at a few times a day and I’m sticking to stories on new technology or classic cars.
Did you know a 1967 Corvette just sold for over $3 million??? That’s news.

That’s nice!
You can read the details at hotcars if you’d like to make a counter-offer. Just be sure to read our car buying post first. I prefer the split window 1963 so I’m holding off on this one.
But on occasion, I still feel the need to click on actual news. It never makes me happy.
Today’s Disaster
Brought to you by the state of Massachusetts…

Read it on masslive.
I found it hard to believe that this could happen, even in Massachusetts, but it’s true.
Here’s the explanation:

I Have a Question
Hardy, the murderer, shot a man in the face. He then stabbed him 79 times.
His brain may not have been fully formed. I get that.
But I’d like to think that we hold our fellow human beings to a standard in which shooting is wrong, even when we’re 20.
And as for the stabbing? Wouldn’t a reasonable teenager or 20 year old stop after stabbing once, or maybe twice?
On stab wound 78, we’re still moving on to # 79. In my opinion, someone who does that has more issues than just their age.
This Isn’t a One-off
I may have just read the article and moved on, except that this is one of many examples. Check it out, again from the same masslive article.

I’m having a tough time with this one. Let me know what you think.
Wrap Up
I suppose if there is a theme today, it’s the importance of human lives.
And we can’t even seem to agree on that.
In the Massachusetts parole board issue, we have some that feel that the life of the prisoner is important and we need to free them. While others feel the life of the person murdered was important and we need to hold criminals accountable.
Perspective.
Thoughts?
