Today’s Fun – you pick

It’s the weekend. I’m going to give you 2 responses to a question and I’ll ask for your opinions on which you prefer.

Background

Here are 2 responses to a question about US/Israel relations. While the US is trying to influence an end to the hostilities, progress to date, has been limited.

Question:

…but it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.

Answer #1

the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.

Answer #2

We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.

Preference?

I’ll give you a hint. The question came from a journalist and the answers came from politicians seeking election. Think about which answer resonates with you? Does one politician seem more intelligent, confident and articulate?

Guess who said what.

…And The Answer Is…

Unfortunately my question was a trick question. The question posed by the journalist was asked by Bill Whitaker on last week’s 60 minutes program on CBS.

The first answer was provided by Kamala Harris.

The second answer was provided by Kamala Harris with a little help from CBS.

Really?

Read the full story here at Allsides.

And to be transparent, the Allsides article also calls out Fox for editing a Trump interview in June to reflect Trump in a better light.

Here is the full Trump story.

Wrap-Up

Who needs AI to fool the public? ABC and Fox have both shown that a little editing can be just as effective in painting their candidate in a better light.

The good news is that we know where most mainstream media sites stand. Watch 15 minutes of any network or online coverage and you’ll have a pretty good idea of whether they lean left or right.

The bad news is that we will go to the polls in November with an incomplete view of the candidates we will choose to serve us. How can we tell if the information that has been presented to us is accurate?

Again, I’m thankful for sites like Allsides and Tangle news that present conflicting sides of the same discussion and try to give their readers a more complete perspective.

Have a great weekend.

  1. A story as old as time, simply Yellow Journalism. It’s a conspiracy to confuse the public that both parties agree to play since neither has a viable candidate. Each party has its own media pal that prints a biased story to tell. Even the “center” news sources are biased.
Unfortunately many have already made up their minds for a variety of reasons and cannot be swayed, and cannot fathom why anyone wouldn’t chose the same side as they do.
The majority of folks are middle of the road and wind up with whiplash reading/watching news from both sides similar to a tennis match as they try to navigate the BS coming from both sides.
Around 40% end up not voting because they’re confused, frustrated, or angry; but most likely lazy or ignorant. 40%!

  2. This is simple. The “campaign” by Harris has been one of the Dems trying to use their machine to sweep a Dem – any Dem – into office while they have tried to hide Kamala from the public & press. They know she is dumb as a brick & cannot construct a coherent, meaningful sentence. The most recent proof was when Harris – with all the talk about “where are not moving back, we are moving forward” so she can fool the unaware that she is some sort of change agent – shot herself in the head on Dem-friendly 60 Minutes. When she was asked “what will you change from Joe Biden’ policies, she said “nothing”. BOOM, THERE IT IS! The big change maker would…change…nothing. That answer should seal her fate.

For Trump, because of his abrasive, cocky style & eagerness to put derogatory nicknames on opponents, many people outright hate him & would vote for anyone but him. He is not smooth as a politician but he will tell you what he thinks whether you like it or not. He is prone to exaggeration.

For me, it’s clear the Dems were hell bent on prosecuting Trump because they live in fear of him & they understood he was their biggest threat., not to democracy as they claimed, but to their hold on power. So they railroaded his prosecution always with the hope that they could label him a convicted melon. Once that charade was done, the brainwashing of their minions who all just say “convicted felon” in union.
When you ask the brainwashed sheep (typical Dem voter) “what were Kamala’s 2 big accomplishments as VP”, the typical Dem response is “Trump is a convicted felon; he is a liar & Trumpers are idiots”. Hardly a rock solid statement about Harris, but a clear hatred of
